The most tension causing AD for me was Adderall, but we all respond differently. Now that I am on Dexedrine, I do notice more tightness in the muscles of my face and shoulders, so I think this must be a common side-effect of psychostimulants. My doctor has given me Seroquel to offset some of the agitation and tension. Have you tried the other psychostimulants? Maybe another wouldn't cause the tension for you. I wish you luck.
