Ah, the Wednesday night lesson started out rio bad but ended up Ok. New horse named Topper. He doesn't like his feet picked, and kept trying to nip me when I was trying to tighten the girth. Got into the ring late. Everyone else was already walking around on their horses. I was in a hurry. Forgot to retighten the girth. Tried to get on horse, saddle slid, horse got upset and took off RUNNING with me attached and foot caught in stirrup, sliding down side of horse, getting dragged, then fell off. Horse ran all over. Saddle slipped to belly. Instructor finally calmed down horse. I got off ground with scratches and dents. Got back on horse after a few tears. Rode as well as or better than anyone else that night. Posting and 2 point went very well. So did steering. I think this horse has a better cadence. After the first lesson, I had been asked by the instructor to come to the Basic class instead because she said I wasn't ready for Intermediate 1. Wednesday night, she suggested I stay in intermediate class. I guess I was good enough.
