D.C.- What dosage were you on the Nardil? Did it cause any side effects, especially weight gain, and how closely did you follow the dietary restrictions? Also, how did it make you feel in social situations- were you overly sedated and "stoned" like on the benzos or were you confident and wide-awake like the SSRIs? Finally, how long did it take to work?

> I think that's a good question about MAOI personalities. I have taken Nardil, Parnate, and Selegeline. Nardil works very well for social phobia. One of the weird things about this drug is that it relaxes and stimulates you at the same time. When I took it I felt very relaxed around people but also was wide awake and could stay up all night without getting tired. In some people Nardil can cause hypomania.
