A reasonably high quality protein diet with only good carbs....yeah, I lost heaps of weight and felt much better. My glucose/insulin/cortisol thing improved greatly such that I am no longer pre-diabetic.

Protein is a little hard to digest. I have some with every meal. And I don't eat things made with flour and dairy (allergies) or sugar much at all.

I like fish. So much I poisoned myself eating it. I think that was it. Mercury.

Thats the reason i don't eat fish. I just don't wanna take chances.

Im a protein fan, too.. The thing is: The body can convert fat into carbs if it needs it and especially it can easily transform protein into carbs. Looking at the Diet of most western civilization you would think that carbs were the most important nutrients but this is actually not the case. We can live without carbs, not even too badly, but we cannot live without fat and protein.

Faster recovery from exercise is another benefit. After lunch i don't really eat any carbs at all. My dinner is a protein shake and 150g of chicken lol. Keeps the body from storing the ingested energy in the wrong places.. Then again i need to add that my body has been trained to tolerate this kind of meals for like 4 years. I would not recommend starting out with a dosage like that, for your own sakes and for the sake of people sitting next to you on the bus, hehe.

Ive been regressing to heavy carb loads and now that i changed to reasonable amounts of carbs and at least as much protein as carbs, i feel better. Pretty heavy exercise load and increase to 90mg nardil probably contributes, too. Its often very hard to tell what exactly is helping at a given moment but i think with time eventually one can find out.

Ps. Nardil f*rts combined with protein f*rts is a very nasty combination :D

I find that I feel a little better on a higher protein diet. In fact, it is strange, but protein is what I crave the most instead of sugar and refined carbohydrates. I prefer a nice big hoagie instead of ice cream or chocolate. Maybe that's why my weight has been stable. I think some people do well on a high protein diet if you are a fast oxidizer, not a slow oxidizer. Other people do well on more complex carbohydrates in their diet. I don't think anybody does well on sugar and refined carbohydrates. Everyone should also get 5 servings of fruits or veggies a day, and if not, perhaps take a multivitamin everyday.

I benefit from a more primal diet. I think all of us would and should be on one.

yes, I eat mostly protien but vegtables too. When I eat lots of grain and no protein I tend to get depressed
