I refuse to fight my downturn with prescription meds again, so am doing the alternate thing now..
been out and bought the strongest Omega3 capsules I could find at the pharmacist (no way I was walking the 2 miles to the health food store in the rain / wind / thunder / lightening we're having at the moment!!)..
What I bought was the Seven Seas Extra High Strength Cod Liver Oil capsules.. The info is;
Omega3 - 400mg
of which EPA and DHA - 360mgIs this going to be strong enough to help me??
Thanks
Nikki xx

ratio of epa to dha at least 3 to 1, try kirunal or metabolic maintenance...you can get them from emerson ecologics on the net....
the correct dose for most people is 1gm of EPA, regardless of the dha.....
i have used kirunal for a few years, but now that the metabolic maintenance is available, i prefer it

Nikki, I try to take at least 1.5 g of EPA, preferably more like 2 g. I also think you should be careful with the cod liver oils because apparently liver oils can contain more of the heavey metal and other contaminants. And, look for a product that has some kind of reputable endorsement that it's been distilled so as not to have heavy metals in it. BTW, for you, my voracious reader friend, I recommend reading "The Omega 3 Connection" by Dr. Andrew Stoll
