Yes, and people actually posted to it, a long time ago now.

What you said about feeling exposed in posts, SG, I can relate to.

Numbers are important, PJ, but what can you do? It was fun, wasn't it?

I think that using the word "please" would have been more polite when asking so much of someone. Speaking for myself, I would refuse to do as you ask without it.

I much prefer the writing style you exercised in your previous post. It was easier for me to follow. I found it lucid and logical, and it showcased your high intelligence.

Is it polite to critique a poster's politeness and announce your hypothetical refusal to answer if the magic word is not included? Please don't answer. Thanks in advance.

Are you critiquing my politeness?

I am sorry for not acceding to your wishes here, but I felt the need to reply. Now there are two questions to answer.

Choose one.

Yes you are correct there was also a books board. Wow down to end of the boards how many left? Not many for sure. Maybe it's back to the beginning before I was here where there was one board. But then Bob was also around and he's absent. Unless he's posting as a poster with another name. P

Did someone tell you where the plug is or something? If Babble were to "close" I expect the doctor would post something to that effect.
This is just an escalation of the "where is everyone" ongoing theme.
As Mel put it, "yawn".

Perhaps you could get you question answered by this site's operator if you were to post it on the Administration board.

It seems to me that for you not to post your comments on Administration is to capitulate and leave unused the forum that was designed to function to address concerns like yours.

You won't even try?

Phillipa, I think that you are expressing concerns that many of us have. I personally don't worry so much about whether Babble will close, but I do worry about its future vitality and health if it doesn't have an actively involved leader. It's impossible to know whether Dr. Bob reads actively or not. Given your long, favorable history with him, I, too, hope that you will express your concerns on Administration. Receiving an answer, no matter what it turns out to be, would really help the uncertainty we all have. Why not try?

I'm glad that you decided to post on Administration. Your concerns are legitimate, and I think you would be speaking for many of us who share them.

Thanks.

Seems like most people here should just communicate directly. Its the same people over and over agin complaining about the same thing. Perhaps they need to go outside more.........

topcatclr,
You wrote,[...it's the same people...about the same thing...they... outside...].
I am unsure as to what you are wanting to mean hhere. If you couldd post answers to the following, then I could have the opportunity to respond accordingly.
A. How could one here identify who the same people are?
B. what is the {same thing}?
C. What is the criteria that you use, if different from a dictionary definition, to determine if something written here is a complaint?
D. in that you wrote about people here communicatiing directly, could Mr. Hsiung be one of those people?

Fist off Lou,
I don't owe you or anyone else an explanation of any kind! I merely stated an opinion in that this board seems to be for the most part, a waste of time. There are only a few people who post and for some reason drugs don't help them. They like to twist the conversation into a "Dugs are Evil" conversation and its ridiculous! So i pointed out, maybe they need to go outside more, get some air if the drugs are not helping. SO WHAT! I am currently on Cymbalta which keeps me functioning well. All an antidepressant can ever do. They are not happy pills. Been on meds since 1995 and would not be around without them so i am just thankful they exist! Meanwhile, i don't look for happiness on a message board that 4 or 5 people regularly post on!

What I like most about this forum is there are no snarky admins that threaten me when I make suggestions. Its a free forum and so we also have some folks that preach against meds, etc. but thats better than feeling like you cant speak your mind.
Id miss it, if it went away!

More like no one is watching. No one is reading. Not like 5 - 7 years ago. Lots of posts go unanswered - that is, your actual question will go unanswered though your presence will be acknowledged and your post appreciated. Don't think the site is going away any time soon, though. This must be a long-term experiment.
