which med is the culprit
lamictal
effexor
adderall
packing away the carbs
growing larger and larger in the midsection
i knowi know
life isn't fair
but i need a f*cking break

I'd put my money on effexor

Could also be a slowed metabolism if you're near menopause no idea your age. Phillipa

I have found a diet that gets pounds off no matter what drugs you use. You need fiber. A glass of metamucil 30 minutes before each meal. Also go high protein, mod good fats (omega 3's) and low carbs (keep them complex). Also before you're biggest meal not only have metamucil but a big salad also. The roughage keeps things moving and many calories are not absorbed. They key is the metamucil 30 minutes before each meal. Will not only keep you fuller but will absorb many of the your calories.

well this combo is not so great anyway
i'llive it another week and go back to my pdoc

thinking i might try abilify

Fiber doesn't work for everyone. If I take any of the fiber products, it sets up like concrete in my gut and makes things worse. Takes a "keg of dynamite" break it loose. I have tried a bunch of them, and get the same reaction. It does not increase peristolic action of the intestine, so it just sits there.

Well I have a way of breaking it lose. I take a tablespoon of a magnesium citrate supplement in a glass of hot water before meals and that keep things moving.
