ok went back to doc and she put me on wellbutrin 150mg xl and left me on the effexor 75 mg xr and adivan so has anyone have any advise or exprince with this? please help

What are you being treated for?
Wellbutrin + Effexor makes for a good combination. I know someone for whom the combination worked when neither alone was sufficient. However, she did see some benefit from each separately. 75mg is far too small a dosage for most people who suffer from severe depression. The use of 300mg of Effexor is now widespread. Wellbutrin is also used at 300mg. If you have suffered from severe depression for quite a while, it does make sense to test these higher dosages thoroughly. Good luck.

sorry yes its depression panic attacks and can not sleep for nothin. i was in a hurry and thought i put that in there sorry but right now the lower dosage seems ok, i was having a problem with fautige from just the efferor so they add the wellb. in with it.

I am on 300mg Wellbutrin and 75mg Effexor XL for bipolar II and generalized anxiety. I could not tolerate a higher dose of effexor (blood pressure went too high) but the addition of Wellbutrin did the trick. I am very happy with this combo for my condition.
Before that we had tried Buspar but it gave me bad headaches and did not seem to address the anxiety at all.
I feel as normal as I did before all this mess.

That's the exact same dosage I am on and true, it's not a high enough dose of Effexor for unipolar depression. I am BPII and the ADs are more for prophylaxis. I get the most benefit neurologically and psychologically from my anticonvulsant.

Hi, I am on wellbutrin sr 150mg and effexor xr 187.5mg. (and a pile of other stuff). I take the effexor at night (with lithium and klonopin) and I take wellbutrin in the AM.(with inderal). I have no problem at all but the wellbutrin winds me up a little and the inderal takes the edge off it.
