What They Don't Want You to Know

Forbidden Secrets – They Don’t Want You To Know

The truth is, if nobody ever gets sick, who looses out? If we do get sick, who profits?

Pharmaceutical saw a chance to make big money in the 1920’s. They eliminated natural solutions to hide symptoms with chemicals - prescription drugs. They teamed up with the AMA, which gives financial kickbacks to doctors treating symptoms of illness and disease with medicines. They showed some doctors how to get rich, patient time went from 45 minutes to less than 10 minutes (take these and call me). Doctors are threatened with jail if they don’t do what the AMA says.

Natural healing is very threatening. It’s not just the Pharmaceuticals, but the Insurers. They put restrictions on what doctors do. The less doctors do, they get rewarded from insurance companies, it’s called Capitation. Thanks to doctors, we have the finest critical care. But, thanks to the pharmaceutical industry and insurance, compared to the other advanced nations, we have nearly the worst longevity in the world.

Dr. Roy Walford MD, gerontology (study of aging and long life), wrote the book Maximum Life Span. He states “Indeed it seems certain that Maximum Life Span can be prolonged to 130 to 140 years”. In 1983, his long life strategy included all of the ingredients for super health. Dr. Walford, proved it with the Biosphere Project in Arizona. The test proved, if they keep on the diet designed by Dr. Walford, they would live 165 years.

If everyone is tremendously healthy right up until they die, who looses? Many people not among advanced nations live over 120. It’s time to quit listening to those who are profiting from an agenda that keeps people dying, sicker, and fatter. It’s the world’s leading experts who are speaking with hard science. These aren’t just theories, they are true facts. You can find this information in any good library, and it has been a matter of public record for the past 60 years.

In 1936, the US Senate document 264, 74th congress second session announced, “our farm soils are depleted of minerals. The grains, nuts, fruits and vegetables growing in depleted soils are deficient.” In 1993 the World Health Organization said our soil is now totally baron and 95% depleted of the basic survival ingredients.

Our plant foods are picked green; many are gas retarded from ripening, and then gas ripened. Foods, meats, with many forms of preservatives have little to no nutrition. Our bodies don’t recognize these as useful foods for health and to repair damage. If we aren’t sick yet, we are going to get sick with deficiency disease and die before we should. The deficiency disease best known in America is death. If you do not include smoking induced cancer, war, and all accidents killing people; you are looking at death by deficiency disease.

A raging nutritional deficiency disease is being overweight, leading to death. Diabetes is without the minerals; chromium and vanadium. Cancers are often triggered by cell damage, so are kidney stones, ulcers, and alzheimer’s. Deficiency diseases are almost endless. ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) and ADDH (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity disorder) are now linked to mineral and enzyme deficiencies.

We have been lead to believe we are doing well to live eighty years. To most people in America that’s good. Until they find out about people who live 120 to 140, and these people aren’t advanced like America. These long-lived people’s diets are saturated with liquids from flood plain waters, wells, and glacial run off. They drink the water and water their crops. This water has an enormous number of suspended minerals. Some cultures call it glazier milk. By way of comparison, farmers put only three minerals in our soil. We need 70 minerals in our diet every day, not three. Just about every cell in your body is replaced in any given year. If you start giving your body raw materials, you may have the privilege of not dying prematurely of something painful that could have been avoided.

The most obvious sign of a serious nutritional deficiency is being overweight. The November 21, 1994 issue of the New York Times reported findings by the National Center for Health Statistics: one of three people, that’s 33% are overweight 20% or more. In 1960 the New York Times reported 24% were 20% overweight. It went from 24% to 33%. Why the drastic increase? Researchers reported an epidemic condition in Americans called Early Pica. Pica is a depraved appetite and most commonly due to nutritional deficiency. Over 95% of Americans are deficient of essential nutrients. Everyone will end up with Early Pica in one form or another.

Your body takes what you feed it, and says, “I’m trying to make amino acids and splice out proteins and perk up neuro transmitters to get nerves sparking.” And then comes bad news; a diet. Your body’s metabolism goes into semi-hibernation. It activates your craving for fatty foods, just like a bear, and it obsesses for fat; chocolate, and oddball foods. On a diet, your body is starving because famine was already in progress. The situation went from bad to worse. We have been taught to eat less and exercise more. The truth is, all we need to do is eat what our body is starving for: 70 minerals, 17 vitamins, 12 amino acids, and 3 essential fatty acids. With this, Early Pica disappears in about a year. It took years to get the way it is, so it doesn’t go away in a day. Then the most perfect form of weight control takes charge.

A whole industry of pain medications makes hundreds of millions of dollars every year from painful deficiency disorders. Not that we don’t have the cure, but “ big business” would rather cover up the pain instead of fixing it.

Harvard Medical School conducted one of the most significant studies on cancer in 1993. They announced “An anti-cancer diet has been found.” In the group that got beta-carotene, (vitamin A precursor) and the trace mineral selenium for five years, deaths from all causes went down 13%. The findings of this study were all but unannounced.

The pharmaceutical industry and the food industry make billions on the cholesterol myth. High cholesterol isn’t an issue at all. Your body treasures cholesterol, your brain is 85% cholesterol. The insulation for every nerve in your body is cholesterol. Think twice about taking any prescription drugs to reduce you cholesterol. Cholesterol is saving your life. Because of a raging nutritional deficiency, over several years, your hardest working veins and arteries develop small leaks and cracks. Your body puts band-aids on these leaks and cracks made out of LDL cholesterol and fat lipids. Overtime, as your body continues this effort, band-aids build-up until the arteries are completely blocked. Due to nutrition deficiency, the real culprit is leaks and cracks. The cure to heart disease is the healing and prevention so that your body doesn’t need these band-aids. Heart disease is killing 12 million people a year and it’s not caused by high cholesterol. Heart disease and clogged veins is brought by a lack of vitamin C. Almost everyone has some build up of plague on their artery walls by the age of 25.

Dr. Methias Wrath MD, a world-renowned cardiovascular surgeon and researcher provided the proof. He observed a clue in a 1958 veterinary school text book, it said “The fact is that none of the domestic animals, with the rarest of exceptions, develop cardiovascular disease. These animals don’t get heart disease because animals unlike humans make their own vitamin C, humans don’t. The only way we get it is through our diet. Dr. Wrath found a very unique animal that doesn’t make vitamin C, the Guinea Pig . He tested them with and without vitamin C, the guinea pigs without the vitamin got heart disease in only a couple of months. A perfect proportion of Ingredients reversed arterial sclerosis.

The Japanese has three times the cholesterol level of Americans, why don’t they get heart disease? Because, they eat fresh fruit and raw vegetables without picking them green, and they don’t gas retard them.

To stay healthy, are bodies need specific raw materials. We need over 100 nutrients every day: 70 minerals including the 10 rare earth’s, 17 vitamins, 12 amino acids, and 3 essential fatty acids. You can get minerals in three different forms. The most common form is elemental, they are only about 2-4% absorbable. Another form is chelated, they are about 20-40% absorbable, and the older you are the less of these minerals your body absorbs. The third form is colloidal, they are positively charged with ions suspended in liquid. An ion is very tiny, a single atom, otherwise known as a metallic mineral. A single atom can penetrate just about anything. When minerals are taken as a drink they absorb as soon as they hit your lips, and since your intestines are negatively charged, the positively charged mineral ions absorb instantly, and by magnetic attraction 98% of these minerals speed through the intestine walls and right into your blood stream. This means when you take your vitamins, your amino acids, and essential fatty acids, the minerals are waiting right there. Scientist call it Catalysis to do all of the chemistry to keep you feeling energetic and living long. Colloidal minerals are absolutely the most efficient way to absorb what you need and what you aren’t getting from food. It is what you need to be healthy, think clearly, and have the energy and health for extended long life.

All of these deficiency diseases can be avoided with the proper nutrition taken on a daily basis. People can get the nutrition they need to avoid deficiency diseases or they can pay a high price and a lot of pain to a doctor later to cut into them, feed them toxic chemicals, and try to fix the damage done by deficiency disease that could have been avoided. It’s about research, and the fact is that all of this is a matter of public record. But people do not know it exist nor where to find it. Therefore, these things need to be shared with the public.

This is a summary from a program discussion entitled Forbidden Secrets – Information You Need To Know by Dr. Chuck Conniry, having a Ph.D in theology and Doctor Bart L’abbe having a Ph.D. in nutrition science - a writer and published author.

What I know so far, at the tender age of 36

You know, when I fell last spring twisting my knee (among other bumps and bruises) and tore up cartilege in my knee, I could have eaten the best diet and done all the physical therapy in the world -- thank god, I had a wonderful surgeon who was willing to cut on me and make my knee better.

And 20 years from now, because of all the athletics I participated in and all the damage I have done to my knees (not as bad as Johnny Bench or Mike Piazza, but along those lines), even with exercise and proper diet, all those injuries will take their toll -- and once again, I am thankful that there will be a talented orthopedic surgeon who is willing to cut on me and give me new knees to help me continue to walk in my elder years.

And most of all, I am thankful that I have a pdoc who I trust and who is not getting kickbacks from the pharmaceutical companies (though a free sample or two from the drug reps from time to time) and who is doing so much to help me learn how to live through each day. Now one thing I won't do is let her cut on me (then again, she is not a surgeon) -- but I trust her to help me with what has become obvious to me -- there are some things that go wrong with my body from time to time, as so wonderfully demonstrated with my knees -- and as so wonderfully demonstrated these past several years by my brain. I know that I am alive today because of people in the medical community and in the counseling community. I am thankful that I don't see a conspiracy around every corner, but instead, continue to learn, both about the meds I take, and how I can take better care of my body to make it work for me, instead of against me. By eating properly, and exercising, and cutting out the caffeine. And if I smart, by not engaging in self-harming behavior when I have an episode.

I feel fortunate -- I trust those who care for me. I wish all could feel the same as I do. It is something I didn't have growing up -- so it is nice to have it now.

Do You Have Proof of Your Claims?.... » Dolphin

In reply to What They Don't Want You to Know, posted by Dolphin on January 10, 2002, at 22:40:26

......or are you selling something, perhaps.

I'm sorry, a doctor of theology (god knows) is not the best person to be giving nutritional advice.

Roy Walford is now suffering from a muscular disorder brought on by nitric oxide level build-up from the Biosphere experiment. Hardly a good example of "proving" someone can live to 165 years.

Lack of vitamin C causes heart disease? Too much vitamin C can cause calcium leeching from the bones from acidification of blood pH, and in extreme cases, renal failure. Please provide a scientific study abstract from MEDLINE outlining proof of this statement.

Atheroslerotic plaque is just Poly-Filler? That is not how the process is described in Harrison's. If our major arteries are developing "cracks and leaks" the least of our worries would be cholesterol build-up. It would probably be damage to the interstial tissue outside of these vessels, and the potential damage done by pathogens leaking throught the holes.

The Japanese don't eat red meat (at better than $50/lb for steak how can they afford it). Their diet is high in fish. Check your LDL values for each of these meats.

Positively charged metallic ions absorb as soon as they hit your lips? Is this via active transport mechanisms, diffusion, osmosis? Again, a lack of basic knowledge of physiology is showing in your arguments. My intestines, at least my upper intestines, are of a high pH, but to say that they are "negatively charged" is a misrepresentation. Besides, a postive charge meeting a negative charge will bind to form a salt, which is a solid (eg. sodium ions plus chloride ions - Na+ and Cl- > NaCl - or table salt; calcium ions plus carbonate ions - Ca2+ and CO2 2- > CaCO2 - or calcium carbonate). Both of these are readily dissolvable in the stomach (acidic environment) or the duodenum (basic environment). The same is true of metallic combinations like ferrous sulfate, ferrous gluconate, aluminum hydroxide, magnesium sulfate, magnesium citrate, etc.

DR.BOB - HOW LONG ARE YOU GOING TO LET PEOPLE WITH NO BACKGROUND IN PHYSIOLOGY OR PHARMACOLOGY PRINT OBVIOUSLY FRADULENT CLAIMS LIKE THIS? How are people going to know what is science and what is pseudo-science? Check MEDLINE yourself and try to find any validation of Dolphin's misinformation. People should follow the RDA (recommended daily allowance) of vitamins and minerals. These levels have been tested, retested, and refined over the years. I see no reason why a person touting an overpriced vitamin mixture is allowed to advertise here.

"Anticancer diet" indeed! Dr.Bob, are you prescribing beta-carotene and selenium for your cancer patients who have secondary mental health issues? This diet should be universal by now; it is 9 years old.

Dr.Bob, I also do not see why we, with as much (or less) knowledge than you on the matter of proper RDA requirements of vitamins and minerals, make us posters defend "real" science against the snake-oil salesmen. "What-ifs" and "maybes" are what sucker in those who have lost hope in curing their mental disorders through mainstream medical science.

Wouldn't it be more prudent to teach those who have chronic mental disorders to live within the parameters of their affliction; rather than having them give their money to those who prey upon those who are willing to try anything for a cure; especially when then product is overpriced; and the vitamin cure is discredited every 20 years or so.

The instances when vitamins do "cure" mental afflictions, are few and far between in the 21st century. When did you see your last case of pellagra?

Dolphin's post is not another point of view; it is pure unadulterated bullshit! Do you have the balls to stand up to this pseudoscientific nonsense? I doubt it!

You have stretched the bounds of my civility by perpetuating this crap. Please remove my ID and password from your list.

P.S. Respect is earned!

Cam:

I agree that the post you refer to raises suspicions of advertising motives, etc... but why don't you just ignore it? I didn't actually see a product being mentioned, but maybe I missed it. I'd much rather have you participating in this board, than withdrawing, or being kicked off because you let something like this get to you.

I hope you reconsider your request for withdrawing. Of course, you will probably be banned at the very least for awhile.

Cam, I've posted a message to Dr. Bob in Psycho-Babble Administration about Dolphin's misleading info. I'm confident of a sensible response from him.

As I'm sure you know, I thoroughly agree with you about her pseudo-science & pseudo-nutrition. But getting angry with Dr. Bob isn't the best way to handle it, nor the best way to convince others that her information is incorrect.

Think of a law court where one person is raving at the judge, always interupting & speaking out of term while the other side keeps calm & unruffled. Which side seems to others to be the sensible side & who gets the judge's & jurors' sympathy. Remember, the old tired cliché "You catch more flies with honey than vinegar" is really true. I *don't* want falsehood to win the argument.

The thing is that in a court of law, you have to have some basis for entering evidence. Even in a dueling experts case, there has to be some basis in science for the expert (in 99% of courts -- there is always the exception where some judge has let in some testimony that is out in left field, but is the exception not the rule).

My concern, and the reason for my earlier post, is that so many of these posts are a combination of touting unproven methods of treatment while throwing out methods that have been shown to help a lot of people (note - I did not say all, nor has any drug company in its research that I have read). People like me found this board when we are in a desperate place -- if I was in a good spot, I wouldn't have been looking for new meds and searching the net about them. And desperate people do desperate things, sometimes with horrible consequences. Unfortunately, with the illnesses that we suffer, one of the symptoms can be impaired judgment. So it is imparitive that someone at times play big brother. Be it others on this board trying to debunk these supposed methods of treatment, or better yet, Dr. Bob reining in these claims. How he does that, I am not quite sure, but having people post that you cannot trust your doctors or the medications you are taking, but instead you need to quit everything you are doing and take (expensive) "nutritional" supplements -- someone could die. Not crying wolf here -- someone going off their meds could become horribly depressed and suicidal. I think Cam and others could back this statement up with some pretty clear research.

It is a scary thing going on right now on the board. And it saddens me. Makes me not want to be part of it. And it would further sadden me if we lose someone like Cam. I hope Cam, that you won't go -- take a breather, but stick around.

Bob - I just cannot ignore pseudoscience. I dealt with it everyday. Desparate people seek any glimmer of hope when seeking a "cure" for their mental disorder. Invariably, those who work in the field of mental health are left to pick up the pieces. I saw this every single day. Those who prey on these unfortunates laugh all the way to the bank. Scum like this are the lowest of the low.

I do not feel that I have gone overboard; nor do I think that stjames has. We have seen the damage pseudoscience has left in it's wake. Lately it seems that the few among us who think rationally, and speak up, are trying to stem a tidal wave with a thimble. And Dr.Bob sits back and just lets it happen ...... in the name of research!

I must leave. I have found a new playground. One where there are swings left to play on; one where rationality overrides silliness. I am tired and frustrated. This time it has to be goodbye.

I'm grateful for the follow-up posts. I'm one of the desperate, foolish people that will try anything, or used to. I almost started to get this stuff too. I've had Pyshotherpists recommend "Juice Plus", PDocs who sold homepathy and other large doses of vitamins and such that they just happened to sell themselves, and last but not a least a chiropractor selling food allergy treatment. He took what appeared to be a blank staple gun and went down my spine . . .don't ask. Needless to say no of this worked, however, it was 100% effective in cleaing out my wallet. It does hurt and makes one very angry at some of these folks who pray on some or us who are desperate and not thinking clearly.

And I think it is so different from giving a personal testimonial (that is -- I have been taking this supplement for the past year and have noticed X) to pushing the product (if you want to get better, you have to quit taking psych meds and take this supplement).

For instance, I am using a new product on some of my scars. It cost a lot of money. Why did I buy it? Because some people testified it worked -- and they didn't try to get me to quit using any other lotion or soap or whatever. I'll testify someday to whether it works for me or not. I tried X and this is what happended to me.

My examples might be silly, but I am trying to illustrate a point. A 12-step concept -- it is about attraction rather than promotion -- I share MY experience, strength and hope. I don't try to tell you what to do. I worry about me only. Sharing my story is powerful -- and that includes what is happening with meds, etc.

So if Dolphin or whoever wants to say "I took this supplement and it has worked great for me" -- I personally won't be so upset. But to post that everything else is "bad" or "wrong" or that eveveryone (i.e., m.d.s and drug companies and researchers) are out to get me -- that is preaching.

The board is not safe right now, given that there are obviously some folks with an agenda. I am rational and can differentiate between that which may be harmful and that which is not. But I am uncertain on the goal of having a place that is not safe.

It saddens me. I have met some neat people, but each day the board remains like this, the fewer times I come here and the fewer posts I read.

Cam,
I just wanted to add my wish to everyone else's that you don't leave. The board would be poorer without you. You have reached so many people through this board. I have found your knowledgeable and sensible posts very informative.
That being said, of course you have to do what you feel is right for you. And I, for one, want to thank you for the time and effort you have put into this board and into helping others, whatever your ultimate decision may be. What you have already given this board is more than we ever would have had a right to ask of you.
I do see Dr. Bob's problem, though, with running an open board. When a post obviously seems out of a marketing brochure, perhaps it is time to step in and delete it, but the free expression of opinions is what this board is about. And the opposing points of view to a post is what gives people the information to make a decision. For example, we are allowed to post "Effexor sucks" or "Effexor is fabulous" or "Psych meds have ruined my life and I'm going off them" or "Psych meds are the entire answer to depression and no one needs therapy." Either view might lead someone to make the wrong decision on medications, but taken all together the posts balance each other out. I know that you probably feel that you and St James and a few others are forced to do too much of the balancing act, and maybe the rest of us could try to help out on that, so that you could feel free to ignore those posts. At any rate, maybe you could take a few days to think it over.
And if you see this, please check out Willow's message on the admin board.
A very appreciative Dinah

>
>
>
>
>
>
>
>
>
>
>
>

>
>
>
>
>

Hi Cam -

Just a few words to express my gratitude for all the sane, sensible advice you've given here. You're one of the main reasons I tune into this board, and I will certainly miss your humane and humorous posts. Please be assured that most of us disregard the disguised advertisements and foolish claims of posters like dolphin, while we listen very attentively to what you have to say. Trust in the intelligence of the readers here - it seems to be of a pretty high order.

If you really aren't coming back to us, perhaps you could let us know where your new 'playground' is to be found. I suspect several of us would like to follow you there.

Take care, Jane
