Bob - I just cannot ignore pseudoscience. I dealt with it everyday. Desparate people seek any glimmer of hope when seeking a "cure" for their mental disorder. Invariably, those who work in the field of mental health are left to pick up the pieces. I saw this every single day. Those who prey on these unfortunates laugh all the way to the bank. Scum like this are the lowest of the low.
I do not feel that I have gone overboard; nor do I think that stjames has. We have seen the damage pseudoscience has left in it's wake. Lately it seems that the few among us who think rationally, and speak up, are trying to stem a tidal wave with a thimble. And Dr.Bob sits back and just lets it happen ...... in the name of research!
I must leave. I have found a new playground. One where there are swings left to play on; one where rationality overrides silliness. I am tired and frustrated. This time it has to be goodbye.
