Today I had to leave my school, I ran away from the people .Im Thinking in suicide again , I feel very very bad
Looking for a job , but I dont think I could make it. I feel useless
Im sure all this is caused for the stopping of the valproic acid suddenly.

Hello!
45mg of Nardil gives you some room to bump up the dosage which may take care of what you are experiencing. Regardless of what many doctors and pill books say, stimulants like Ritalin and Dexedrine (amphetamine) can help tremendously - HOWEVER - this must be monitored by an experienced doctor and must start out with a very low dosage - as too much can cause your blood pressure to skyrocket. My doc said she'd add a stimulant to the Nardil I was taking - but I had to go into the hospital and stay for 5 days so they could closely , monitor me.
If you are feeling anxious, Nardil can be combined with anti-anxiety meds like Xanax, Klonopin and Ativan. Also, some anti-convulsants - except Tegretol.
Remember - becareful of any OTC meds like cough medicine and anything that contains Sudafed. I accidentally took some NyQuil one night and had to be rushed to the ER because of severe Seratonin Syndrome.
Hope this helps......Nardil pooped out on me - but it's a miracle med for many out there!

You can add TCA's to MAOI's too. Nearly anyone can be added except Clomipramine & I wouldn't use Imipramine. Anything that is a NE reuptake inhibitor can actually help prevent a tyramine induced hypertensive crisis because tyramine is blocked at the NE reuptake sites.Cheers,
Panda.

Cheers,

That last piece of advice there is really good to know. Thanks. i was wondering why reboxetine was supposedly good for preventing hypertensive crises.
This doesn't mean that a NRI would be useful for reversing a hypertensive reaction though, right? Cuz much of the tyramine would already be inside the noradrenergic neurons?

I'm not sure on that one, it still may help by preventing more in, but I wouldn't be sitting around betting my life on it. :)Cheers,

as far as the beta blocker, It depends on how the Nardil effects your blood pressure, but Inderal can be combined with Nardil.
Neurontin may be a good one to try, although if I remember correctly, it is expensive. The combo of meds that got me "healthy" was Nardil 60mg, inderal la 60mg, Neurontin 1800 mg, and topamax 200-400 mgs
FWIW, 60mg of Nardil is the typical effective dose... some may need more (up to 90mg) It seems that the reformulation of Nardil ("the new nardil") requires a higher dose in many long term Nardil users...although the active drug (phenelzine sulfate) is the same, some of the fillers and binders have changed.

It was not a huge difference though
> FWIW, 60mg of Nardil is the typical effective dose... some may need more (up to 90mg)I never got to 90 mg . The highest dose I took was 75 mg . Then I had an HP crisis (I ate spoiled chicken ).
I restarted the Nardil on 45 again 2 moths ago.

I experimented that problem too . This new Nardil is not the same . It does not work the same way It was working the old one.
Everything was fine ,until I started taking the new version.

It will make your Nardil work much better (assuming it works)...it is used to potentiate AD's.Look up "naltrexone- poop-out" on google search...
Like I said it should make your Nardil work BRILLIANT!!
And then you will not feel socially anxious..
Keep in touch tep!
