Indigo the Clown *triggers??*

Posted by Maynerd on November 23, 2005, at 21:31:14

How do I explain these feelings when I’m down?
Most times you may never know cause I mask my frown
With teardrops and blue face paint that I smear all aroun’
From out of the sad ashes pops up Indigo the Clown
He scampers the world over at a frantic pace
His eyes red, white and blue from 3 cans of mace
Watch as people laugh at him right to his face
They all believe he’s lost his mind in outer space
He forgives them their cruelty because his heart is so mild
Many won’t see that since his eyes look so wild
Truth is though he loves every man, woman and child
Indigo has no regrets for the love he has shown
Not even when only tele-marketers call his phone
So he hides his sorrow until he sits all alone
He blames his emptiness to his troubled past
Uncertainty in his head how long it will last
He prays in his heart God will make it go fast
His cavorting ways are his way to heal the weak
A natural mystic trying to bring hope to the meek
All this while to his face he is called Indigo the Freak
Indigo doesn’t want to give anyone his blame
He hides his tears behind a painted mask of shame
For most of his existence life has been a hard game
He remembers the day when he was ashamed of his name
He’s lived through a lifetime of both ridicule and lies
Each time he gets rejected another piece of him dies
A layer of greasepaint to hide behind as he cries
A smile and a poem to disguise his Indigo eyes
