I didn't realize I'd written this, probably had a few. But suddenly old times seem desperately new. But without the shine, and each days promise. But...driving along at 50, no longer 75
old age dawned on me. a nasty surprise. Knew it was coming and now old memeories have way more reality than each feeble day's unease.
Still, I'm more awake at nite, so I'll muddle through the day. the hell with "muddling" I'll sleep the time away. Thanks, cockeyed. But lord how vivid memory comes like a sword and maybe there's some pain.
But there's this sweetness that really wasn't then, just ardent longing. I'm too long'f tooth to feel as I did then. thanks cockeyed.
