hey, gse, pardon the elision, but I'm really not a bad boy. My old man was a firefighter and tought me to drink nothing that was not clear...I think he meant stick to beer or the hard stuff. Unfortunately I'm off on a run...thanks for the concern. you know what's great about getting stuck and having to walk...you feel alive. driving...well you feel in...command? I do. Was cruising home from the packy this aft and the cops had positioned one of those speed deals,,,how fast you're driving
vs. the speed limit. The damn thing must've been mis-calibrated. It read 57. So now that I know where it is, I coast. Maybe they should stick some of those things all over the place.
Once one is by, one can pick up the pace.
I like driving at a suitable speed...55 is okay except on I-95.
But every now and then I get a vision of what it might be like...crushed in the dashboard and the roof...well...it's been happening around here quite a lot lately. thanks for your reply.
As for my friends, well, they gave me an oppotunity to review my life. I keep forgetting that I'm and elder, s'posed to be a role model. But I'm beginning to think that I'm acting out the deals I should've dealt when I was 13 and a boy as good as a boy could be.
Now maybe I'll buy a used Harley and be all I can be. Now I'm gonna hit the vodka. Or maybe my guitar, we'll see. Thanks. cockeyed.
Oh, yeah, cops: public servents, my *ss, public saviors is more in accord with their class... thanks, cockeyed.
