thoughts

Posted by PM80 on June 10, 2005, at 8:00:37

I saw a person
that was physically crippled
on the TV last night.
He was giving courage to others
and finding courage in himself,
and all the outsiders were cheering,
inspired so by his spirit.
But, in my mind, I became aware
that his spirit is only human
and can never last forever.
One day he will die
Then all of those who knew him will die
Then all of those who ever heard of him will die.
So, is he really victorious in himself
Or simply delusional
in believing that he has conquered life?

Maybe he is both,
and that is the only way to account for
the curiousity that is life.

Around and around in my head
these thoughts go,
so that I am dizzy in my soul.
