Hmm.
A embryo philosopher, maybe ;-)
(I think you get to be a baby with your PhD)

>That was pretty wild stuff for me. Reality...hhmm, hard to say what that is, I think it is one of the greatest tasks of this life to distinguish between the objective and subjective, if there really is a difference.

:-)
Yay! And that is one of the main tasks in Philosophy of mind. To try and say how the objective, external, material, physical world of mind-independent experience relates to the subjective, internal, mental, conscious world of mind-dependent experience.
:-)

>Personally I have found that I have expended a TREMENDOUS amount of energy just reality testing, only so I could have a hand in the reality I create, one that doesn't match my expectations, subjectively speaking. It's exhausting. Empathizing with the psychotic, now there's a task...

I see it more as relaxing into a way of thinking / experiencing...

I have been reading Jaspers again...
Hmm...
Seems I have only read modern caricatures of what he actually had to say.

Damn.
He sounds a lot like me.

I do get the feeling sometimes that research grants get paid out for people 'repackaging' centuries old views in modern form...

But it is interesting to me...

What is reality anyway?
And what (if anything) can we know about it?
