A Child's Silent Wish

Please Mommy love me, I am a part of you.

Please Mommy hear me, I am afraid to speak.

Please Mommy comfort me, I need to feel safe.

Please Mommy smile at me, I fear your frown.

Please Mommy hug me, I don't know how it feels.

Please Mommy want me, I feel like such a bother.

Please Mommy look at me, I want to be seen.

Please Mommy care about me, I feel so needy.

Please Mommy stop yelling, It makes me scared.

Please Mommy stop hurting my brother, I want to hide.

Please Mommy take care of me, I need to depend on you.

Please Mommy love me, I didn't ask to be born.
