Nobility

Posted by Shame on March 5, 2005, at 16:06:58

Silence sat, his sword gripped tightly.
Eyes closed, head back, a semblance knightly.

With cursive movements, footprints pass,
First in sunlight, then to darkness last.

When life beloved, brightness his spirit borne,
But now, proud voice muted, shining courage torn.

Anguish wept him, steel claws tireless.
Shivering. Solitary. A soul clutching eyeless.

From life’s deep velvet, silver drinking deeply.
A decent into twilight, thoughts falling absently.

Breath’s last whispers speak words unfinished,
Death’s memories unfurl, past moments cherished.

No farewells, no witnesses to lifes spark fleeing.
A fallen hero stares ahead, murdered eyes unseeing.
