Please don’t yell
Not if front of our child
Don’t say bad words
She may repeat them
Don’t push me
You might scare her
Don’t blame me
She could resent you
Not now
But when she gets older
Come to see her
When you say you will
I don’t like to say
“Daddy can’t make it today”
She doesn’t understand why
She is too young
But she is old enough to feel hurt
She cries
And you don’t see this
You can’t feel it
But I do
And it hurts me
She loves you
And she is just a child
If you change now
Maybe she won’t remember
And she can feel loved, safe, and secure
So if you love her
Please don’t yellJ Lynn
