Very sad, but very true. Your words in the final lines are especially graceful and elegantly turned.
This poem, about the feeling that an ex-lover is blithely going about his (or in my case, her) business without really understanding the devastation left in the wake of the break-up, reminds of how often I used to put Alanis Morrisette's album "Jagged Little Pill" on my stereo and play the bitter break-up song "You Oughta Know" over and over and over again. I'd forgotten how often I did that until I read this.
