Your poems often have this dreamlike quality to them, with the compact and vivid approach to imagery that I associate with good haiku. This one may be your best yet, because there's this touch of enigma about it. I felt a little start when you threw the tiny dog out the window, but in the context of a dream, that response makes perfect sense. Any thoughts on what the little pooch might mean to you? The embodiment of some kind of longing, of a missing piece in your life? Atticus
