I think it is normal these days that people are on the drugs for extended periods like that. I think the best support you could give him at this point is to just support what he wants. it is really hard to get off them, really hard...ive been trying and it is not fun (never been on zoloft though). It may be a good idea if the both of you go to his psychiatrist to discuss this, and any other options?? Just a thought. Just support what he feels is right inside. Hope this helped.
