Hi, Alex.

> Hey Scott. Yeah, I remember those feelings of... Deadness. Where everything felt so dead that just going to the bathroom was an ordeal, as you say. I don't mean to be dismissive or to imply that I knew the total solution. I have heard what you suggested, too, that sometimes suicides might occur as people start to get better.
> I'm coming around to this idea of (at least some) depression being a rational response to an untenable situation. Catatonia or inertia might well be a rational response. Getting better might be... Untenable. Yeah.

That's a very insightful way of looking at it. My doctor would agree with you.

> I hope you are doing alright.

I feel better - at least for today. Thanks for asking. Two days ago, I discontinued a drug called prazosin after being on a high dosage for a handful of years. It helped in the beginning, but seems to have become an impediment to achieving psychobiological wellness. One caveat: I often experience an improvement when adjusting the dosage of many medications. Prazosin behaves this way for me, so I won't be fully optimistic until I feel better for more than one week.

Take care of yourself.
