Having decided to stay put has been a great decision so far. My anxieties are much less pronounced. We are talking more and not expecting the non-existent crystal ball to do that job for us. (The biggest issue, by far.) I think we both became very lazy in how we expected the other to interpret our body language to indicate mood. And my husband definitely had some unspoken conversations with me, which inevitably led to problems.
Taking it slow.On the issue of our neighbourhood, I think it is a good quiet place to hide. A couple of years ago there was a house that was trafficking sex workers. Meanwhile, a beautiful home on the corner belongs to a former ambassador to Japan while the second Bush was in the White House. So, lots of contradictions, kind of the standard in Florida.
