Yes, it was rented out by the owner. No one checked the references. A timely neighbourhood check by a policeman caught the renter running first away from the home, then back in where he was pursued. Policeman took one whiff of the garage, backed out, and called for support. All of us were trapped at home for the day.
Safely evacuated his block of units. Unit owner has to pay for decontamination back to fire walls. So sad. I didn't care for the sharp shooters, the robot, the hazmat guys, and the lack of information in the neighborhood until I turned on the news.
No lives were lost.
