My husband adopted two kittens from the same litter at 8 weeks. They had been at a shelter, in the same cage practically from birth. They share a food bowl, a water bowl, a litter box. I never had a pet before until he adopted them 2-1/2 years ago.

They're very beautiful creatures, very graceful. Amazing proprioception. Very low maintenance. But I don't quite get how people can become so attached to cats (as opposed to dogs - not that I ever had a dog). They don't even seem to know their names.

But they're sweet. Play together a lot, groom one another, like to hang out in whatever room my husband and I are in. Like to be petted.
