I'm in NYC and it was pretty intense. We were on lockdown, all of downtown was flooded and no power. I live further uptown and we got lucky--it wasn't nearly as bad. NJ and Long Island got slammed. My parents have a house on eastern LI by the beach and they lost all power, trees were uprooted, etc.
The good news is I think we got over the worst and it's mostly just fine :).
