Disability and employment discrimination

Posted by Slabicki on August 11, 2012, at 16:19:39

Hello there,

I know this is not my immediate concern now, as I wait for ECT, but it happened over a month ago, when I was still doing O'K.
I've had six jobs interviews and I was denied a job although I have the qualifications and experience.
That was just for the entry level job.

I'm on disability right now, and also I was terminated from a job in the past, but it was over 10 years ago. (due to my illness)

I have the information that each consumer is entilted to a free consumer report once a year.
I just don't know how to get it.
I don't mean the credit report, but I've read that some agencies may sell your medical info.

I've called the state attorney general office,
and also the Federal Trade Comission Office,
but they said they can't help me if the employer
didn't dislosed whether they used any consumer reports.

Can anyone suggest how can I find out if the employer used any consumer reports against me?

I wonder if they can find in the computer that you have a disability.

I hope to have ECT and return to work, and I will keep trying, but I'm affraid it will happen again.

Any suggestions?

Slabicki
