Gabbette, thanks for your response. I'm sorry you're having a frustrating time right now and glad you have the experience of proper treatment etiquette as a gauge. Courage to you.
I finally read my treatment report, (my own pdoc is wonderful and incredibly responsive), and was pleased with the thoroughness of the 'unresponsive' doctor.
I did call (as EmilyP suggested) prior to receiving the report. No response. After reading the report, I e-mailed again and both thanked the consulting doctor for the quality of his report, and to also share my experience as a patient of a psych consult being unable to elicit any response. I suggested that even letting me know he did not field questions through e-mail or phone call would have preferable to complete silence. (And he did hand me his card during the interview, so....)
