No it is not too much to ask.
The busiest psychiatrist I know and the only good one I've had the blessing to encounter would answer email queries even after I'd moved and was no longer his patient.
He's the head psychopharmacologist of three hospitals, and has his own practice. If anyone has a right to not answer emails its' him. I wrote to him three months ago, I got a response, a thoughtful response within 30 minutes. I kid you not. And no there was nothing inappropriate about our relationship it was patient/Dr and nothing else. I wasn't special to him.As for how the world works.. i don't know.
I'm thinking the point of treatment gets lost somewhere with many Doctors and Psychiatrists.
If their initiative was to help people feel better that is.I'm having my own situation right now. Frustrated beyond belief.
Resenting a system that I'd love to wash my hands of- but unfortunately am dependent on.
