As mentioned months ago in a previous post, I was reading "The Possessed" (Dostoyevsky) along with a history of the USSR. Slow to start, but in the set pieces, just wonderfully funny. Then I lost it. And then my wife found it under the bed when she was making it (which, I hasten to say, I do not bother to do). I just have to work out whether to start at the beginning again or not.
