On top of the 50 inches of rain we have had in the last 2 months we are now just over an extreme weather event that failed to blow our house down but landed another 10 inches of rain on us.
So there I am keeping our beagle company while the winds howl outside at well over 100km/h. No power, no water, nothing to do but light the candles and check out the pantry and see if those (250g) poppy seeds work after a lemon juice and water extraction, which, I was surprised to find, they did. Like 30mg morphine orally with all this other crap no doubt. Few drinks, half a valium now and then, and hope a tree does not fly through the windows. You need it or you go completely crazy.
