Mine didn't come with a scraper. Here's my cleaning technique. After using it & shutting it off, take a wet paper towel and put it on the grill & close it. This sorta steams off the crud & softens it up. Wait abt 10 minutes and then you can wipe the grill off with the same paper towel (if it's still damp) or a new one. Don't let the paper towel dry out entirely or it all hardens up again. It's still a pretty gross PITA to clean but this helps a bit.
