You could just let it go.

If it is that important to you, I think you might want to know for sure. I would ask the question very directly to your father and ask him if he is embarrassed or ashamed of you. This could help broach a number of issues that have not been dealt with in the past regarding you illness and how your family feels about it. Enhancing communication is usually a good thing.

In the meantime, take a good look around you in cyberspace. You will notice that you are not alone in your struggles. There are actually medical names and diagnoses for those things that you must deal with as health issues. They are real, and not at all uncommon.

We, the not at all uncommon, recognize you for who you are and the strengh you must certainly possess to have survived this long. That you did not graduate is a consequence of the severity of illnesses you suffer from. My IQ is pretty high. However, my mental illness prevented me from graduating college. Personally, I think that you are in good company.
