Thanks, you are so sweet! Yes, I've thought of getting a kitten, that would help me to go on when the time comes. But my cat is very skiddish, and I don't want to upset him, especially if he gets sick again. But if he continues to do well, I might try it at a later time (when my job situation is under control). And I do feel better after getting all that off my chest. Thanks for the support. I'm going to do some more job hunting now.
