It looks like you have taken a piece of your personal history that ruins lives and made it into a personal strength. I support you in your mission to counsel and work with trauma and abuse survivors.
There's a fine balance between allowing abuse to shape your life's mission, allowing it to define your life's mission and allowing it to control your life. With wisdom and patience I know that you'll be able to make choices that take you wherever you want to go.
Congrats on the scholarship. What an honor! And on the publication as well :) I hope you'll post on the students /studs/ page once school starts. Things get slow over there, sometimes, and I'd love to hear more about your progress
