Someone Said

Posted by Fivefires on May 23, 2008, at 14:34:46

There is a difference between not taking any action and 'doing nothing', the latter being non-violent struggle, civil disobedience. The hardest thing about 'doing nothing' is the inevitability of loss. The only way that non-violence can win a struggle against violence is to make the violent see the inhumanity in themselves. When these things are personal, they just plain hurt; more so when there is no change, no justice comes of it.
