And it's in the copier room, eternally unjamming the machine. Or in the break room, faced with the empty pot of coffee with the sludge burned onto the bottom of the pot. It's "what goes around, comes around" to kick you in the behind.
Just give her a sunny smile every time you see her in the hallway, and a big ol' sigh, and shake your head. Such utterly stupid things come out of peoples' mouths, and unfortunately they get lodged in our brains.

My personal one, as uttered to me by Curtis Hazlett in 7th grade, was, "you look pretty good from the neck down." Now, I'm not saying that he's the sole reason I'm in therapy today (why, there's a whole whopping team of people who helped me get there), not just Curtis, may-he-be-bald, and paying-for-his-third-ex-wife. But I kind of think that remarks like that have a habit of biting people who say them, eventually.

Sigh. TC, I've seen photos of you. You're already beautiful.
