So I've gotten some replies to my ad. Many are just not promising at all. I answered some of them conversationally, then realized I was just postponing the inevitable. So... I consulted the Internets for advice on how to handle those. I found a tip that said if you know you're not interested, just send a message that says "Thanks for the message. You sound like a great buy, but I don't think we're a match. Good luck with your search." I tried it out on a nice grandfatherly-looking man and patted myself on the back for my politeness and maturity.
But... the guy must have mis-read the message. Somehow he thinks I said I wanted to meet ! ? Now what?
