Ughhh Dinah, I know how you feel! Kidney stones are the worst, arent they? I've had 2 episodes in the last few years, with 4 lithrotripsys (3x to get one stone!).. one which landed me in the hospital with a major infection. I've been told the pain is as bad as natural child birth. I've never had kids, but I wouldnt doubt it. You definitely have my sympathy.

I hold on to a bottle of percocet from last time I had stones, but like yours, I'm sure it's expired by now. I was at my university health center during an attack once just to get pain killers (already had a urologist appt in 2 days, but couldnt wait it out). The doctor hit my on my back near my kidneys and said, "does this hurt?" No, you think?! I guess you cant understand until you've felt it, but wow.

I've noticed that when I start to feel a stone coming on (little twinges, etc before it really hits), if I drink a LOT of water for a few days, sometimes it never appears. Much more than the 64oz... more like 3x that. Really flood myself. Worth a shot?

Sending some of those stone shattering beams your way. Hope this is just a false alarm.
