I live in Portland, Oregon. Which could be described as a cross between San Fransico and Seattle. So people are pretty liberal here.
Medical marijuana cards, which is basically a presciption card, are readily available from docs here. Someone gets a medical marijuana card, and some are legally allowed to grow a certain amount in thier home. This is for their own use, and sometimes legal to deal it out to other card holders.
I definately do not want to call the police, because he is not harming anyone by selling (illegally) to adults on the side. I smoked marijuana while a teen, and know the 'culture' of marijuana users. 99% of the time they are not out to hurt anyone.
I probably will not suggest another form of marijuana to treat his pain, because I dont want to try to change his basic way of life.
