I had to tell her about Dr. Bob because she was asking why we had to meet in San Diego.
She was immediately distrusting of Dr. Bob's motives, thinking he is out to take advantage of people. I showed her a picture of Dr. Bob and my Mom said there are a lot of bad doctors and lawyers out there, especially ones who are Chinese. It's sad, but I think my Mom is racist.
She said I shouldn't meet with people who go to a site like Babble. She said I need to make "normal" friends, not friends with "problems". She doesn't want me going to meet people from Babble.
I asked her if it would have been better for me to lie instead of telling her the truth. She told me I didn't need to tell her everything.
I told her I'm probably more disordered than a lot of Babblers, but she is still afraid.
Ugh. What do I do now?
