Yes I stayed a couple of nights in paris and I had 12 hours to kill in Northern Spain so I went to Bilbao to see the Guggenheim there.
I've been on lots of other trips myself too (Germany, Switzerland and Italy) But I do find it easy to meet new people and I know how to look after myself well, paritculary in certain situations. I'm not naive and I think it helps that I'm 5'10!
