Think I'll just take this opportunity to shamelessly plug the fact that the UK is free of rabies. Over here if you get bitten by a dog, or even a wild animal, though people for miles around will sympathize with the dog (dogs are held with higher reverence than many children for some reason), you can take solace in the fact that you will definitely not be infected with rabies. Unless of course the dog jumped off one of the trucks coming straight out of the cannel tunnel (carrying shiploads of illegal immigrants to sponge off our cushy welfare system), in which case you may well be f*cked.
