I really need to do something about my hair.

I haven't touched up the color for well over a year. And even by my standards, it's too long and straggly.
It's time to spring for a decent cut. I think I've spent all my cash though, so it might have to wait.
I'm scared. My salon was thoroughly flooded, and they're not up and running yet. I could probably track down my stylist, if she's still in town. But salons scare me. I went to this one for years more because I knew the procedures and how to tip the shampoo woman than because I was happy with it.
I'm not sure I have the nerve to go to a place of fashionable people who are sure to look askance at quirky old fat me. Or say things about my thin hair. Or unrefined features. (Yes, I'm quoting.)
