Yeah, it is a kind of weird bluish gray-- guess it's supposed to represent the metallic horror of the future,
Mary McDonnell (?) is really good-- but so many of them are-- I like Grace Park-- the Cylon who wants to be human. And of course Ed.J. Olmos.
Even the guy who plays Gaius Baltar-- has this creepy fascination--
yeah-- a lot of gorgeous people who are really good actors, and are just sublime in their utter apocalyptic torment. Sort of Gray's Anatomy loses the hospital and finds the outer reaches of the known Universe, with lots of visionary gloom--but the people, although more burdened by fate, and ravaged by suffering, are, if anything, more gorgeous.
I never watched the original, so I can't compare. I love sci-fi-- I liked "Firefly" on tv although didn't see the movie-- really amusing-- and the beginning of "Farscape" wasn't bad-- although it got sooooo stupid at the end.
Snoozing did you--or gg your husband-- ever watch that weird late-late-night one, called "Lexx"? that was also good (IMO, anyway)-- the ending however weird was really sort of sad.
bwaaahhaahhaa. I've always wanted to talk to someone about this. My SigO won't watch these with me.
