I survived my first day of work! I am so tired. I think I was introduced to roughly 500000000 people. My legs are sore from all the walking (its a big-g-g place!).
The next two days I have to go work at one of the actual stores! Its so 'we'll know what its like' on that end. I told them I have 10 years of retail experience, I KNOW what its like. I though I should get credit for that but apparently they didn't agree.
I got to chat with the girl who's place I'm taking. I thought, okay, now I'll get the dirt. She said she loved the place! She's only been there a year and she's already getting promoted. She said the best thing about the company is they really take care of their employees. Wow! I didn't know that existed!
I saw what my job will be, its basically a combination of things I've done at past jobs. The new thing for me will be going to 'photo shoots'. (I really want the chance to say to someone, "Sorry, I can't meet you for lunch, I've got a photo shoot to go to"). In the office area, every few cubicles has random clothes hanging around - stuff people are working with. I think its going to be fun working in the fashion industry.
