hi Texas,
sorry your cute-boy is so confusing. I guess he just wants to get away from the whole thing?

Anyways, I have some advice for your cleaning thing.
Here's what I do- you have to set the timer 10 minutes at a time. get a garbage bag and pick up garbage for 10- minutes. Don't do anything else- no scrubbing, no sorting, no reading, just pick up garbage. Then take a 10 minute break. Then 10 minutes scrubbing bathroom porcelain. Tub/shower might take about 10 minutes. then break. Then 10 minutes rounding up the dirty dishes. break. then that's an hour. and you can take an hour break :) you dig it?

so divide into chunks. and don't get distracted. you can't clean up everything simultaneously.

And you need some rewards- fresh flowers? just 5 dollars at your grocery store. they will make your place feel spiffy. the room that looks the cleanest gets the flowers. then you can move them into a new room when you start to get that room under control.

sorry you got so behind when you were depressed. my place got to be pretty scary too. I made butter tarts about 3?4? weeks ago. well (confession) The muffin pan is still waiting to be hand washed. oh my. haha. but, I got all the other rooms in my place cleaned up on Sunday. and I've ben very good about not letting my wadded up socks accumulate, or my dishes (which always end up near the computer, for some reason... eat & post & eat & post...)

hang in there, and congrats again on your new job. go hang out in the library, or a museum, or a park, if you get sick of being housebound.

cheerio :)

-ll
