It's an optical mouse. Maybe the button just wore out?

I always shut down cleanly, as far as I know.

I really think that if it was shutdown problem, it was that darned adobe. It gave me the reboot now/reboot later screen, and I chose later. And it showed that reboot screen again, during shutdown.

If it does it again, I'll think mouse.

It wouldn't reboot under that. That's what I always do, and it wouldn't. Maybe I was impatient.
