I spent 8 days in the hospital- first admitted for 4 days (they gave me a spinal tap and punctured me so spinal fluid is leaking), and then I got sent home for one night- and started vomiting again with the horrific headache/neck pain, and had to be admitted again for another 4 days.
Anyway, I still am on "bed rest" (yeah, can't you tell? ROFL), but it's driving me NUTS having to just LAY on the couch all day. I can't sit up right for very long at all before my head starts throbbing. Apparently, it's from the spinal fluid leaking.
The dr. said it can last up to 14 days after the procedure. They did do the spinal blood patch last week but it didn't take/work. They aren't sure why but it just didn't.If I am not better in the next few days, they want me to have an MRI. *SIGH*
The good thing is that I finally stopped vomiting. I literally puked for SIX entire days. They had me on an IV and gave me every anti nausea medicine known to mankind. They even gave me one that they give chemo patients and I STILL threw up non stop.
It was a nightmare. I lost 6 pounds in 3 days!
Anyway, I just wanted to give a quick update. Say a prayer for me. I really need to get well soon. I have children to take care of, and right now, I can't even take care of myself.
The only good part of being so sick is it seems to take away the anxiety and depression- I was too sick to even think about how I felt mentally. ROFL
